On November 17, guests gathered at the Kiewit Luminarium in Omaha for an evening with Fr. David Brown, SJ, Research Astrophysicist at the Vatican Observatory. After networking with drinks and exploring exhibits, attendees heard Fr. Brown share his journey through Jesuit formation, his doctoral research at Oxford, and his ongoing work in stellar evolution at the Vatican Observatory.


On February 18, Jesuit Fathers Jim Clifton and Amit D’Souza shared their experiences and observations about being a part of the worldwide body of the Society of Jesus in the talk “Jesuits at the Crossroads”. Guests also explored the new Phillip G. Schrager Galleries at the Joslyn Art Museum.


On Thursday, February 22, 2024, JFAN Omaha hosted Celtic Notes & Anecdotes: A Night with Fr. Ryan Duns, SJ. In preparation for St. Patrick’s Day, the Associate Professor of Theology at Marquette University shared his special gifts for storytelling and Irish music, playing the tin whistle and piano accordion at the Networking Reception.
