JFAN Loyola Club invites you to a private pre-game talk with Bob DiBiasio, Sr. Vice President of Public Affairs, in the event space in the stadium's Corner Bar. Ticket price includes entry to Progressive Field, buffet dinner starting at 5:30 until after the first inning, unlimited non-alcoholic beverages, cash bar available, and ticketed seating on The Family Deck.
Speaker Bio:
Bob DiBiasio is in his 47th season with the Cleveland Guardians and his 48th in Major League Baseball in 2026. He started w/the Guardians in 1979 as Assistant PR Director; named PR Director in 1980; Vice President/PR in 1988. The Lakewood, OH native was promoted to his current position in 2011. DiBiasio serves as President of Cleveland Guardians Charities. He is the President of the Greater Cleveland Sports Hall of Fame. DiBiasio is the host of “At The Ballpark w/Bobby D” – which features stories of the colorful personalities and memorable moments at both Cleveland Stadium and Progressive Field. In 1986, DiBiasio was named the Public Relations Director to the Sports Illustrated Dream Team. DiBiasio graduated from Lakewood High School in 1973. He earned degrees in journalism and education from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1977. In 1978, he earned his master’s degree in journalism from The Ohio State University and started a stint as Assistant Sports Editor of the Fremont (OH) News Messenger before joining the Cleveland Guardians organization.

4:15 p.m. - Gates Open for Event (Right Field Gate is closest to The Corner Bar)
4:45 p.m. - Presentation Begins
5:20 p.m. - Pregame event wraps up and guests move to the picnic area of the space
5:30 p.m. - Buffet Begins
6:40 p.m. - First Pitch
7:30 p.m. - Buffet Ends
~9:30 p.m. - Game Ends

Context, Change and Hope: The Catholic Church in America
On Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at Windows on the River, Fr. Thomas Gaunt, SJ, shared recent CARA research on: sacramental life, especially among young adults; the impact of mobility and immigration; and the closing and opening of parishes with Jesuit friends and alumni. He also touched on recent national polling on Catholic attitudes about the Eucharist and other Church teachings. CARA is a national research center affiliated with Georgetown University that conducts social scientific studies about the Catholic Church.

One Meal at a Time- The Mission of Fighting Hunger
On Thursday, October 16, 2025, JFAN Loyola Club attendees reflected on the role of food in bringing people together—sharing meals, celebrating milestones, and preserving family traditions. Yet, for many, food insecurity remains a daily struggle. Kristin Warzocha (John Carroll University ’93), President and CEO of the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, shared insights from her 20 years with the organization, discussing the realities of hunger, the Food Bank’s growth to meet rising needs, and how her Jesuit education has shaped her mission to feed those in need.

On Wednesday, March 19, 2025, JFAN Loyola Club attendees explored how Ignatian values can transform leadership and success in both organizations and life. In this engaging presentation, Fr. Nicky Santos, SJ, Associate Professor of Marketing, Heider College of Business at Creighton University, shared his global experience and examined the Jesuit paradigm for business education, emphasizing purpose-driven leadership, stakeholder engagement, and sustainable growth. Participants were inspired to lead with heart and soul, fostering success that benefits both their organizations and communities.
