Join the Jesuit Friends and Alumni Network of Kansas City for an evening of light and laughter — where comedy meets Ignatian Spirituality.

Fr. Jake Martin, SJ, is  a Chicago native, theatre-trained performer, and Jesuit priest. Fr. Martin blends stand-up, culture, and faith in a way that is thoughtful, disarming and genuinely funny. He is the author of What’s So Funny About Faith? A Memoir from the Intersection of the Hilarious and Holy, published by Loyola Press and has written extensively on film, culture, and spirituality for America Magazine and other outlets. He currently teaches film studies at Loyola Marymount University and previously at Creighton University.

Fr. Carlos Esparza, SJ will co-host a portion of the evening. Fr. Esparza currently serves at Rockhurst High School
